| Mookaite is available on a wholesale basis (in lots from 5 ton to 20 tons), and shipped from Fremantle, Western Australia. John also sells rough Mookaite in smaller quantities (both wholesale and retail) in Arizona (USA) each year at his booth at Desert Gardens, Quartzsite for most of January.
Price will vary with both quantity, and quality. The quality being determined by the colour, competence (relative absence of cracks) with the material having a high silica content also being more expensive. If you have a preference for one colour or another (for instance, for people doing inlay work), Mookaite is available in specific colours, but only a preponderance of a particular colour can be supplied, a particular colour cannot be supplied entirely both because of the nature, and colour variations, of this natural rough material. |
